My husband is on his feet all day and these socks helps him with swelling. They are comfortable and good quality. These are hard to get on and off, but my doctor approved of them. That's all I needed to know. Used for venous insufficiency. My Dr. advised me to wear compression stockings for swelling caused by water retention. These do a great job of reducing the swelling without being painful. They are easy to care for. I machine wash and air dry them, and after a year, they are still doing a good job. Have not stretched out a bit. And the price is great. I have recommended them to a lot of people.I wish it were the pink that the pic shows. Neon pink is a bit bold for my taste. Nice fabric though. Comfy. So far so good. (One star reduced for color not well represented. The difference for me between the pic's pink and neon pink is the difference between me liking the color and not liking the color. A lighter, softer pink would complement the grey so much better too.) They will work but won't be ordering another due to the color. Note to company: make the pink match the medium pink of the sock pic, and I'll order multiple pairs. I love THAT pink. I also bought a blue pair. Returning for a replacement pair or at least a replacement sock. One sock was great. The other blue sock had poor stitching where the blue and grey colors meet. The stitching wasn't weak, it just looked bad due to many grey stitches bleeding into the blue area. I want a nice clean boundary line of stitching, esp. in areas where my eyes can easily glance down and see. With a nice replacement pair with good stitching, I'd give that pair a higher score. I'm trying one large pair and one medium to see how I like the different sizes as my sizing fit in both. I appreciate that this company doesn't try to make each sock fit 4 a range of four sizes. The sizing chart really appealed to me. Fix the pink color and the stitching and 5 stars will be given. Final notes: They do provide compression although it doesn't feel like the amount provided by my other 20-30mmHg socks. (And I'm judging this while wearing the smaller of my 2 pairs.) They do help keep my legs from aching though so perhaps consider them on the light side of their range with the bonus of lovely fabric next to the skin.Colors are good-need purple! I’m an RN on my feet all day and these are hospital quality! Wash in cold water and hang up -they dry quickly. No fading-vinegar wash first time like uniforms. You know they’re good because it takes effort to get them on in the morning. Keeping my ankles!I've only worn them 2 two days. Seem to do the job. my Xl size is a little smaller than other XL's I've bought BUT I got them on and off.Bought two pairs a couple years ago and was very pleased so bought again. New version has more of a stiff nylon feel than a tough cotton feel. Both work, but the nylon version tends to slide down more during activity. For plane use, they're fine, but for exercise the old version was better.I put them on for a 3 hour car trip and they were so comfortable that I left them on all day. Size is important with compression socks. If you do not have a tape measure, wrap a strip of paper or non-stretchy cloth around your calf and measure it that way. I wear a ladies shoe size 10w and my calf is 18 inches. I ordered the XL which fit. The foot part is a little big but not so big that it's a problem. The socks fit around my calf perfectly. If this is your first time wearing compression socks, read the instructions as to how to put them on. With a little practice, you will get faster.
