Why are real Wool Stockings more expensive? Most Christmas stockings are not made from real wool because real wool costs more compared to polyester or other man made fibers. Ours are 60% Wool and 40% Polyester - we believe authentic wool is a must for heirloom quality knit. Why do knit stocking have a lining inside? Our stockings are lined inside with a soft fabric material because the lining prevents the knit from snagging when the stocking stuffers are put in and taken out. The lining also helps to keep the shape of the stocking and limits the stretching. How do you make the stocking hang so pretty on the Fireplace or anywhere? When the stockings are empty, it is a good idea to stuff them a little bit with something light, you can use tissue paper, cello bags, even a newspaper, just about anything light that can be scrunched and put inside to make it look exquisite. Are they all the same size? We have 2 collections: Extra Long 28 Inch ones and Nice 23 Inch ones. Even in the 28" collection you will see up to an inch plus minus in size that is due to difference in the knit patterns. Our 23" collection you will have up to 1/2" difference.
