Purchased size medium in black and white. I wear size 7 shoes, and have 12-13" calves, and am 5'3". The foot of the socks are too large to offer any compression. You can see this in the photo, on the white sock at least. They feel like normal socks in the foot. They are tightest at the top band, so the compression is reversed for me. I thought this would be a problem, but I've had one of each on for over two hours now and they feel pretty good, just wish there was 20-30 mmHG in the foot as the description stated. They would be perfect. The top of the sock falls right below the knee, where I need them and rarely find because compression socks are always made for taller people, athletic and medical. I live in compression socks due to venous insufficiency and was looking for a high cotton content for warmth. The thickness and the foot padding are really nice. If you wear an 8-9 shoe with 12-13" calves, I think these would fit as advertised. I'm keeping them as there is enough compression through the calf and down toward ankle that I don't think blood will stagnate in my feet. I also purchased a pair for my mom, who wears size 8.5 and larger calves. Interested to see if the top of the sock is too tight. Will try to update review at that time.Great socks for the price. Better than my 60 dollar pair.I like them but they’re thick. Makes for a snug fit in shoes. Decent compression though and Don’t make my feet itch like the nylon/spandex kind do.Years ago the veins on this reviewer's legs started meandering wildly. Then appearing to the rear of his left-leg's inside ankle joint was an explosion of purplish, tiny little spider veins shooting 360-degrees outward as if some sort of human equivalance of a Fourth of July fireworks mortar shell."Phlebitis," the doctor said. "Milkleg" is what others may call it.Whatever its name, my leg's veins were struggling to return already oxygen-depleted blood to my heart and lungs. And if the veins weren't moving the blood out, then areteries likewise struggle to deliver newly oxygenated blood.Combined, once very healthy legs that easily walked between 20-and-50 miles each weekend, alone, were tired just after stepping feet upon floor after a good night's sleep."You'll feel much better when you don compression hose," my doctor said, reminding her patient the same suggestion had been offered years before to a reluctant patient. All this patient heard was, "Ugly hoseiry; no more socks! Just big and very noticeable rubber bands instead."Finally folding, when her patient first wore ccompression hose the difference was instaneous and postive. Yet, her patient was wearing hosiery"; at times too flimsy, at other times too tight, and, always too thin to warm feet now needing all possible help. After years of struggling to find hosiery that looked and felt like a nice pair of correctly sized warm socks, Wanderlust was found at Amazon.com.Believe you me, this high-flying, oft-traveled consultant travels enough annualy to land highest-status memberships in two commercial airlines 'air miles' programs - and it's cold up there, especially on cross-country flights - Wanderlust was the right "sock" for this high flyer. Now in the scrap heaps found in the inner reaches of my sock drawer are multitudes of compression hose supplanted by Wanderlust. They came from near and far; some expensive and some so cheap they started "decompessing" upon their very first "delicate-cycle" washing. Now in-service for upwards of five months, my "test pairs" of Wanderlust not only have helped keep my feet warm, they've kept the blood flowing. And the two test pairs, even exposed to multiple wearings each week because they were worth the extra effort to frequently wash, look as though they were just purchased!Indeed, Amazon.com presently has been loosed to get a just-ordered four additional pairs to this wearer as this is being typed (well, okay, "processed"). Some of that previously described "extra" hosiery will be distributed to those in need; some will justifiably go straight to the trashbin to make room for the incoming Wanderlust pairs. While this wearer may yet in the future purchase another pair or three of Wanderlust, it's highly doubtful it'll be due to a lack of quality on Wanderlust's part. It's just that this very satisified Wanderlust wearer needs some color variety among Wanderlust's offerings.Wanderlust is just plain good stuff. I'm most grateful to Wanderelust and the family who decided they had an excellent product in hand; decided to risk nearly all its saved wealth on producing and establishing Wanderlust in the marketplace. Perhaps needless to say, I'm fortunate to live in a country that allows such to happen!. Lastly, as a 21-year member of the Amazon.com family, I'm grateful Wanderlust is allowed to sell through Amazon's portal to the world! My uncle has to wear compression socks. These are very affordable and he loves them. Just asked me to order him 7 more pairs.Pros: I wanted a pair of socks that would provided the compression that I need plus keep my feet warm, and these socks do just that. I found them not too difficult to put on, and they stay in place perfectly all day. Cons: Prior to purchase, I did use the brand's size chart to measure, and bought my size based on the chart. Still, I find the socks rest a bit snug on the tip of my toes, which I notice more when I have my shoes off. If I pull at the tip of the sock, there is plenty of give, so I guess that's just how they fit. So overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.Love these socks with tennis shoes at work. But I wore them hiking and my boots rubbed my socks after a couple of hours, see picture. So NOT for hiking. Also pretty expensive. Good compression though. Will only use for work from now on.I'm on a non-stop search for comfortable socks for my tired and aching feet. My left foot has arthritis, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis, and my right foot has a neuroma (a pinched nerve between the #3 and #4 toe). I am limited in time and distance to about 2 miles or 2 hours on my feet, after which tears come to my eyes from the pain and I have to stop. At night, both feet cramp up inexplicably several times a night. I've gone to dozens of doctors over the years and I have a whole box of inserts, cushions, socks, supports, straps, creams, and heating pads, and three drawers filled with all kinds of socks. But putting these socks on have miraculously made at least 80-90% of the pain go away in both feet! They are tight, but not too tight, and extremely comfortable. The toes are genuinely "seamless", or at least minimally "seamed" so that there's little or no friction. They are soft and supportive. I wore these socks all day when I got my first pair and then immediately ordered several more. This is the "mother lode" of comfortable socks, people! They have wool and synthetic blends and multiple colors. Black and white is all I need for now. They're all AWESOME in my humble opinion! The company even followed up with a nice email asking how they feel, and the packages came with a 10% discount code card for my next order. I may well go through my entire sock drawer and replace everything with Wanderlust socks, and have already praised them to my podiatrist and orthopedic surgeon. I plan to wear them on an upcoming long duration non-stop flight. I cannot say "THANK YOU" enough to this company for the relief it has finally given me, but I will: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!Certainly not a flimsy sock, well made, seems very durable, and really grips the ankle and leg. Its the type put on in hospitals prior to an operation except stronger and with a tighter grip. I had mixed results. The oedema swelling in the ankle reduced but appeared above the line of the sock - two thirds of the way up my leg. So it seems the swelling moved from the ankle to a point up the leg. I will persevere: this type of sock is used by hospitals for a reason. These are so much better than other compression socks I've tried before. They kept my feet nice and cool and sweat-free, even in the heatwave! They are very comfortable and washed well first time. Also, they look like normal socks, not granny stockings. An added bonus for me is that they are quite thick which takes me up from a 4.5 shoe to a size 5, which will make shoe shopping vastly easier in future! I've already bought my second batch.Bought the large size. I wear UK 9.5 shoes. Just used the socks for first time on a long-haul flight from MAN-HKG, and yes, my legs and feet felt much better both during and after the flight. Would buy again.Really good compression socks they do what you need them to do whilst also being easy to get on and anyone that uses compression socks will know how hard they are to get on.So silky and comfy yes supportive.I've only had them on 10 mins though so far.I've bought them as I'm doing an intensive driving course all week and in the evening my left ankle has been slightly swollen, I'm guessing from sitting still so long.
